JONATHAN GARCIA, CPT, CSCS, LMT, NMT
Growing up in Louisville, Colorado, my path into health and fitness began early through participation in a variety of team sports. Encouraged by my dad, an avid lifter, I learned early on that strength training wasn’t just about performance in sports, but about building a foundation for life. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my career.
I bring over a decade of experience in personal training, with a strong background in anatomy and physiology that guides how I coach movement, structure programs, and help clients train efficiently and safely. My approach emphasizes proper form, individualized coaching cues, and smart progression so clients can build strength, gain muscle, and move better while reducing the risk of injury. Whether the goal is improved performance, increased strength, or simply feeling better in daily movement, my focus is on long-term, sustainable results.
Alongside strength and movement coaching, I have been immersed in endurance sports for over 20 years. My running career began early and led me to compete at Western State Colorado University, a top Division II distance program, where I qualified nationally in cross-country and the 3000m steeplechase. I later transitioned to professional cycling, racing domestically and internationally for six years. During that time, I competed for elite teams including Einstein Bros. Bagels and the BMC Pro Cycling Team, racing events such as the Tour of California, Tour of Utah, Tour de Suisse, and representing the USA at the Olympic Test Event in Beijing.
After cycling, I returned to running and triathlon, continuing to compete at a high level with highlights including a 12th-place finish at the Los Angeles Marathon (2:32) and a top-10 finish at Ironman Branson 70.3.
Today, I enjoy supporting endurance athletes of all levels, helping them train with intention, manage their workload, and stay healthy while pursuing both performance goals and long-term athletic longevity.
